Accommodation
Many villages and towns along the route offer a range of accommodation, and there’s a wide choice in places such as Drymen, Aberfoyle and Callander. As you go further north, the options become sparser until you reach Aberfeldy and Pitlochry, both of which are well served.
If booking your own overnights, we suggest you start with the more difficult places first, for example Ardtalnaig: scroll down for the only two options that we’re aware of. First we list some useful websites for accommodation searches, and follow with selected links to places where options are sparse.
Be aware that the Glen Quaich extension (over 30 miles) is unlikely to be viable for walkers (unless wild camping) because of the closure of the hotel at Amulree (roughly at its mid-point). Scroll down to the Sparse destinations section to solve some challenges, including the only B&B within walking distance of the Glen Quaich extension (at Corrymuckloch), but it has limited capacity and may be outside your budget.
